Currency & Banking

Canada's money system is based on dollars and cents. Visitors should consider exchanging their currency into Canadian dollars at chartered banks and credit unions for the best rate. Some banks may charge a transaction fee for this service. Banking hours are Monday to Thursday, 9:30 am to 4 pm and Friday from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Liquor Stores

Liquor may only be purchased from Saskatchewan liquor store outlets. Wine and beer, however, can be obtained at licensed cold beer and wine stores. The legal minimum age to purchase liquor or participate in games of chance in Saskatchewan is 19.
