Saskatchewan – still the lowest unemployment rate and strongest growth

While employment in Saskatchewan was little changed in March, the province experienced the strongest year-over-year growth in the country, at 4.6%. The unemployment rate was 3.9% in March, still the lowest among all provinces.”
National average unemployment rate was 7.2%.
2nd place Alberta’s unemployment rate was 4.8% and 3rd place Manitoba was 5%. 
The remaining provinces’ unemployment rates were:  Nfld 12.3%, PEI 12.1%, NB 10.5%, NS 9.5%, PQ 7.7%, ON 7.7%, BC 7.0%.

  • “While employment in Saskatchewan was little changed in March, the province experienced the strongest year-over-year growth in the country, at 4.6%”. Saskatchewan’s Job market remains strong and this is very evident in Southwest Saskatchewan.
