Gull Lake Getting Child Care Spaces

It’s been a long time coming, but Gull Lake is getting 25 new licensed child care spaces.

“Every time I’ve been in Gull Lake everybody comes up to me and says you need to get that going in Gull Lake,” said Director of Kreative Kidz Early Learning Centre Rebecca Anderson.

Anderson also runs a child care centre in Hazlet.

After a two year wait they received approval from the Ministry of Education in December. A group of interested individuals then got together to incorporate as a non-profit corporation. They are temporarily using a space at the Knox United Church and now starting to receive shipments of furnishings and materials.

“We’ve started meeting with some families,” Anderson said. “Getting some pre-registration going. We are hiring for all positions, ordering supplies and getting materials we need to have a great environment for the kids.”

Kreative Kidz is holding an open house April 22nd from 5-7pm at the Knox United Church.
