CT Scanner Comes to Cypress Regional Hospital Today Health & Wellness SouthWest Saskatchewan  Cypress Health Region

A 64-slice Ct Scanner will be installed at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current. Today will mark the beginning of taking the old scanner out and then installation of the new one will begin.

Their was one major contributer to the purchase.

“The representitives of the late Mr. Roy Blanchard passed on to the Dr. Noble Irwin Foundation is going a long way towards the purchase of the equipment,” said Bryce Martin with the Cypress Health Region. “The estates donation of $1.2 million encompasses the great majority of the $1.6 million cost for the equipment and installation.”

The new CT Scanner is expected to be fully installed and operational by June 24th.

“The 64-slice high definition scanner that will replace the existing unit, is just that, it’s new technology it will provide clearer images, better quality images and thus will be a huge improvment to the service provider,” added Martin.

Until that time Cypress Health has set up arrangment with Hospital in Moose Jaw and Medicine Hat for use of their CT Scanner.
