Scuba clinic returns in Gull Lake

By Craig Baird

Gull Lake Swimming Pool has hosted a Scuba clinic over the last few summers, and with interest always high the clinic is returning for another year.

“I had a couple of inquiries about the clinic before it was even set up,” Sara Kuntz, Gull Lake and Area Recreation Director, said. “I took that as a good sign.” The clinic, which runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on July 9, will help teach everyone from beginners to seasoned divers about scuba diving.

“Everyone is welcome,” Kuntz said. The clinic will be taught by Kevin Bowes, a Scuba instructor with over 25 years of experience. The cost per person is $15.

There is currently 10 spots left, but those are filling up fast.

Anyone interested in the Scuba clinic will need to contact the Town Office to register.
