Next up for Saskatchewanderer: Cypress Hills
Call it the best summer job ever.
Kaitlyn Taylor grew up just outside of Saskatoon, and was chosen to be this summers Saskatchewanderer, which means she gets to do and see all the cool, unique things our province has to offer.
“My parents often took me camping to Greenwater, and Waskesieu, and all those places when I was younger,” Taylor explained, “and that kind of sparked my interest in Saskatchewan, and that was important to me when I applied for the job, like, ‘Oh man Saskatchewan!’ I’d love to learn more about it.”
Taylor said some of the highlights of her travels so far have been the Grasslands National Park, and flying over her hometown of Saskatoon in a hot air baloon, which she was able to cross off her bucket list.
She wason her way through Swift Current yesterday on her way to Cypress Hills.
“That’s going to be a really fun trip, I’m really looking forward to that, I’m going to be Equestrian camping down there and going for trail rides, and it’s going to be super fun.”
Taylor added a lot of people tend to overlook the beauty, and everything this province has to offer.
“It’s such a unique place, and there is such a variety of things to do, there’s no need to travel outside of Saskatchewan to have a great time because there is so much to do and see here.”
Taylor’s Saskatchewanderer project wraps up in mid-August, for more information on her stops, or to read her blogs, you can go to www.saskatchewanderer.ca, or follow her on twitter @SKWanderer.
