Historic Trades day at Fort Walsh Aug. 3

Historic Trades Day is set to take place at Fort Walsh National Historic Site on Saturday, Aug. 3.

There will be fun for all ages including NWMP/RCMP demonstrations; cannon and rifle firing; wagon rides; Xplorers for Kids; Métis jiggers; Cypress Hills Alberta Planetarium; Cypress Hills Sask. Solarscope; Gunsmith; Ferrier; Wheel Wright; Blacksmith and Leather Worker.
Activities take place from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Barbecue beef on a bun will be available for $5 and there will be a concession.
The day is possible thanks to help from the RCMP Cadets from Depot Division in Regina, Sask., the NWMP Commemorative Association from Calgary, Alta., Cypress Hills Interprovincial Parks, South Alberta Horse Artillery and many volunteers.
