Jamboree This Weekend in Shaunavon SouthWest Saskatchewan  Events   The Crescent Point Wickenheiser Centre

The Frenchman River Gospel Music Jamboree kicks off tonight at the Cresent Point Wickenheiser Centre in Shaunavon with George Canyon opening for Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder.

Saturday features a free pancake breakfast at 9am followed by live outside stage entertainment all day.

Saturday evening enjoy performances by the Catherine Lewans Band, The Hunter Brothers,     3-2-1 Improv and Tim Neufeld of Starfield. Tickets for the Friday and Saturday performances  are available at the door. Kids twelve years and younger are admitted free of charge.

Sunday morning there will be a Church Service at 10am followed by more free music on the outdoor stage.

Hunter. “I think bigger than that was the overall interest in having a weekend where people could fellowship together, they could listen to the music… there was that gospel message that was a part of it. Of course that has always been central to the Jamboree.”

Organizers added there will also be lots of fun and games for the kids.
