College Getting Set for New Year Education SouthWest Saskatchewan Great Plains College

It’s back to school for students and staff at Great Plains College with classes starting back up on September 3rd.

“We’re excited to start a new year, as we always are,” said Regional Manager Karen Richmond. “We look forward to working with our community and with the business community to meet their labour market needs, and to do our level best to fill those needs to supply students and graduates as quickly as possible.”

Richmond added that the college has expanded both the Electrician Program and the Power Engineering Level four Program for this fall, but they are facing some challenges in the upcoming year.

“Always looking to grow our program so we will be looking to continue to expand our program base,” she added. “Filling seats is always challenging as well. We are at about 80% capacity right now so if anyone has had a change of plans give us a call and we will do our best to get you in.”
