October land sale nets $9.1M

The October sale of petroleum and natural gas drilling rights in Saskatchewan brought in $9.1 million in revenue, with an average price paid of $524 per hectare, the Ministry of the Economy reported Thursday. That’s down from bonus bid revenues of $15.1 million and an average price per hectare of $652 in the August land sale. The October sale brings revenue from the five land sales held in 2013 to $53.5 million, compared to $94.2 million for the same period last year.
