Farmers, terminals struggle to store and ship bumper crop

Several golden piles of feed wheat – more than 30,000 bushels in all – sit in the farmyard of Anthony Eliason and his father, Dale. “It’s rare. We try not to store it on the ground, but we ran out of bin space,” Eliason said Monday afternoon. Already five metres tall, the piles should grow over the next few days before being shipped to market in Lethbridge.
