Saskatchewan Throne Speech promises to put students first

In Wednesday’s throne speech, the government of Saskatchewan put forward a promise to put students first, by building on success that is already being seen in some classrooms around the province.

Part of the equation to turn this promise into reality is creating more space for students by building nine new school buildings across the province.  The new buildings for joint-use between catholic and public divisions will be funded using a Public Private Partnership or P3. However, it wasn’t long ago the Saskatchewan Party itself was reluctant to use the funding model for schools in the province.
