Gull Lake Comes Through In Grand Fashion

By Craig Baird

It was a bit close to the deadline, but Gull Lake certainly came through for the community swimming pool.

The Doc Walker concert, which was held to raise money for a pool liner in the Gull Lake Swimming Pool, had sold about 150 tickets by the beginning of last week.

“In true Gull Lake and area fashion, the last-minute ticket sales were huge,” Sara Kuntz, Gull Lake and Area Rec Director said. “We ended up with close to 350 tickets sold.”

So many tickets were sold that organizers had to quickly set up more tables to accommodate everyone.

“Things ran smoothly, the dance floor was packed and the show was awesome,” Kuntz said to Gull Lake Life.

Total profit has yet to be determined, since expenses and other items need to be calculated, but with the response from residents it is expected to be quite significant.
