Land line use falling in Sask
Shalyn LaRose has lived without a land line telephone for more than 10 years, and has just convinced her parents to do the same.
“Most people my age don’t have (a land line),” the 33-year-old said. “My parents and their friends are starting to get rid of theirs, too.”
The number of Saskatchewan residents abandoning their landlines is rapidly increasing. In 2010, 10 per cent of people in the province had no landline, according to recently released figures from Statistics Canada
