Saskatchewan Continues to Draw in Residents
According to the latest statistics from Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, Saskatchewan’s home builders saw a spike in activity in January.
Housing jumped 9.6 per cent compared to last year, landing Saskatchewan in fourth place among the province.
Compared to last year, construction stats on multiple units were up 34.4 per cent from 285 units to 383 units.
Economy Minister Bill Boyd says that we have a strong economy and growing population and residential construction is definitely keeping pace.
Boyd also mention that more homes in our province is a clear and positive sign that we have people putting down roots, living and working in our Province.
