Silent Auction Supporting Kreative Kidz

The Kreative Kidz Early Childhood Learning Centre is hosting a silent auction to raise money towards their new facility.

Kreative Kidz is currently being run out of the basement of the Knox United Church in Gull Lake and Anderson knows they can’t stay there forever.

“We are forever grateful… Gull Lake wouldn’t have gotten the licensed spaces when they did if it hadn’t been for the church allowing us the move in, so that we could get somewhere and start running ourselves temporarily until we had a facility in place,” said Director of Kreative Kidz, Rebecca Anderson.

The Kreative Kidz Early Childhood Learning Centre has been around since late 2012. After a two-year wait, they received approval from the Ministry of Education at the end of the year, and a group of interested individuals then got together to incorporate as a non-profit corporation

“So far we’ve done a few minor fundraisers that have raised us few thousand dollars,” ahe added. “Right now, we haven’t sat down and figured out some hard numbers, right now we have an architect doing up the plans. So once we have plans in place and we can kind of get some tendering for some estimates we can get a better idea.”

Anderson adds the silent auction offers two autographed hockey jerseys that were donated to them to raise money.

“Two jerseys were donated to us, one is a Swift Current Broncos autographed jersey that was autographed by the whole team and that was donated by the Gull Lake Advance. The other one is a Dallas Stars NHL jersey with Brett Hull’s signature. That was donated by a parent, Chuck Zoerp,” said Anderson.

The silent auction starts today until next Friday at 3:00 PM. You can submit your bids by emailing kreativekidz@sasktel.net or by calling them at 306-672-2273.
