Spending bounces back in January

Retail sales in Saskatchewan hit $1.54 billion in January, up 4.0 per cent over the same period in 2013 and up 2.5 per cent over December retail sales, Statistics Canada said Friday. Compared with the $1.5 billion posted in December and the $1.48 billion in sales a year ago, January retail sales have rebounded from a bit of slump over the last few months, according to Doug Elliott of Sask Trends Monitor.
