Earth Week Alley Cleanup April 21st to 25th, 2014
To celebrate Earth Day 2014, the Communities In Bloom Committee, with the support of the Town of Gull Lake, are sponsoring an alley cleanup week from April 21st to the 25th. This will be an opportunity for Gull Lake residents to discard items that would not be picked up in normal trash. Town employees will collect and dispose of the following items:
Tree limbs and brush (no longer than 12’ in length or 6” in diameter). All yard and garden waste must be bagged
Construction and demolition debris – example: lumber, drywall, renovation debris etc. (please pull or bend over nails and place small quantities of concrete, bricks and plaster in containers)
White goods/ metals – example: guttering, sidings, washing machines, dryers, refrigerators (there will be a $40.00 charge for removal of appliances containing refrigerant)
Municipal waste (all other items) – example: furniture, carpet, mattresses etc.
The following items WILL NOT be picked up: tires, batteries, hazardous waste and medical waste.
If you have items you would like hauled away, please have them placed at the alley during this week or call the Town office at 306-672-3361 to arrange for pick up.
