Saskatchewan has signed on to a renewed gas tax agreement with the Federal Government to help fund local infrastructure projects.
The new 10-year agreement will see $292.7 million earmarked for Saskatchewan municipalities over the first five years, and $56.3 million toward infrastructure projects in 2014-15.
New projects eligible for gas tax funding under the new agreement include airports, disaster mitigation, broadband connectivity, and recreation, tourism and cultural infrastructure.
