It’s a weekend of visual, musical and culinary arts at the Southwest Quest Art and Music Festival in Eastend.
Devin Beck is the President of Southwest Quest.
“Southwest Quest Art and Music Festival provides local southwest Saskatchewan member artists and opportunity to exhibit their artwork and play music and to get exposure that a lot of our local artists don’t get the opportunity to get.”
In Eastend tonight there will be an Artist Reception and Community Social at Jack’s Cafe from six until nine p.m.
Saturday from 10-4pm there will be activities at the Eastend Memorial Hall including live music, kids craft activities, artist displays, a raffle and silent auction and lunch.
Saturday night there will be a Community Dance featuring the Eastend Rangers with doors open at 7pm.
In addition to this weekend’s events self guided tours around the southwest are also available anytime.
You can take one, two or three day trips throughout the region to discover where art and history live.
Beck adds how the self guided tours work.
“This year we currently have 92 members registered members within the tour. The tour booklet is now available on our website and you will find a list of the four regions that we serve, the Big Muddy, the Grasslands, Cypress Hills and the Swift Current area,” said Beck.
