Unemployment Rate Continues to Drop Economic Development SouthWest Saskatchewan  Unemployment Rate Saskatchewan Canada

The local unemployment rate dropped slightly last month. The latest job numbers show the jobless rate for Swift Current – Moose Jaw was at 2.6 per cent in June 2014, the 3rd lowest in Canada, and 0.7 per cent lower than the 3.3 per cent recorded in June 2013. The number of people who were working dropped by 200 over the year to 52,400 last month, but the labour force population decreased by 600 to 53,900.
