Campers wanting a weekend away from the city can take part at the third annual Sleep Under the Stars.
The event takes place at Grasslands National Park at 4:30pm and continues into Sunday afternoon with plenty of activities.
“We’re going to start by kayaking the heart of the Frenchman River Valley with Carefree Adventures and we also have wagon rides going on all evening,” said Co-ordinator Carrie Klassen, “We have activities going on for kids all evening including a waterslide, bouncy castle and crafts.”
Animal lovers will have plenty to see, with the natural hike later that night with exclusive animals to the country being in the park.
“I’d just like to add too, that we’re going out to look for black-footed ferrets in the evening too with a resource conservation specialist. We’re the only place in Canada with black-footed ferrets and the only place in Canada with prairie dogs.”
