CIB Voulunteers Give the Elks Hall a New Look

Today was a big day for the Communities in Bloom Committee and volunteers. The day started with washing and scraping loose paint from the exterior of the Hall preparing it for fresh coat of paint.

Today was also a good day for news coverage with a story out about the committees CIB projects in the Advance and The Gull Lake Advance Extra. The town also received a visit this morning from the Southwest TV news crew.  The news crew did an interview with Chairman Ed Lowenberger, and filmed various projects completed by the committee in the downtown.

After a long day of hard work the Hall was painted its new colour with just the trim waiting to be completed tomorrow.

Volunteers also constructed a new picnic bench and placed it in the pocket park across the alley from the Recycle Centre.

The Town Council extends a big thanks to the Committee and its volunteers for all the hard work they have been doing to ready the community for the CIB Judges arrival on August 14th.
