CIB Judges in Gull Lake this Thursday

With only a few days left the Communities in Bloom Committee, Volunteers and Town Staff will be busy preparing for the CIB Judges arrival. It has been a busy year for the CIB Committee and its volunteers. They have done a great job with several initiatives aimed at improving the look of our community, and last year’s score. Checkout some of this year’s projects:

Xeriscape Garden

Volunteers took last years Community Garden Beds and transformed the area into an attractive Xeriscape Garden

Elks Hall

The Elks Hall received a new coat of paint and look at the difference it made.

Owners Mark & Darla Vaughn painted their Bakery and CIB Volunteers helped with the trim.

Voulunteers made Banners that can be found on various poles coming on Rutland Avenue and Downtown

Pocket Park

Volunteers cleaned out dead tree branches and built a picnic bench a new pocket park across the alley from the Recycle Centre.

Help Gull Lake Get a Great Score

The Communities in Bloom Program is all about community pride. During the next few days before the judges arrive please take the time to cut your lawn if needed and keep your property clean. Let’s do our best as a community to roll out the red carpet for the CIB Judges when they arrive.
