Cypress Hills Eco-Adventures Finalists in Tourism Industry Association of Canada Awards
The Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) today (Sept. 10) announced their 2014 Canadian Tourism Awards finalists, and Saskatchewan-based company Cypress Hills Eco-Adventures has been named in the “Small to Medium Sized” Business of the Year category.
One of only two Saskatchewan finalists, this latest nomination tops off a stellar year for the young company that saw them win Tourism Saskatchewan’s Online Marketing Award and Business of the Year award for 2013.
A company that not only stresses the importance of having fun and enjoying nature’s outdoor spaces, they are also a company that is keenly aware of the environmental impact of their business. As such they work hard hard to mitigate that impact through a number of different endeavours that mark them as responsible stewards of the land.
>From the initial design of their trail systems with consideration of drainage and erosion to the design of their base camp as something that would blend easily in with it’s natural surroundings. Additionally, they donate 1% of their annual sales to non-profit environmental organizations within Saskatchewan.
Cypress Hills Eco-Adventures offers not only a six-line Canopy Tour through the Lodgepole Pine forests of Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park and 14 climbing challenges within their Treetop Adventure Park, but also offers a full line of base camp activities that include the 45 ft Treetop Drop, a 32 ft climbing wall, Slack Lines, and Mini Zips for younger children.
