Fire Prevention Week
Fire Prevention Week is dedicated to educating the public about the importance of fire safety. Resource material is available free online from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Fire Prevention Canada and Scholastic. Materials include how-to guides for the fire service, lesson plans for teachers, activities for kids and families, media releases, graphics and lots more.
“Working Smoke Alarms Save Lives Test Yours Every Month!” is this year’s theme.
During Fire Prevention Week – October 5 – 11, 2014 fire fighters across Saskatchewan will be telling people the importance of having a working smoke alarm. Help up sound the alarm that working smoke alarms save lives.
Did you know that many people don’t test their smoke alarms as often as they should? When there is a fire, smoke spreads fast. You need working smoke alarms to give you time to get out. Test yours every month!
