Local Jobless Rate Drops Again in September

The Swift Current and Moose Jaw areas continue to have the lowest regional unemployment rate in Canada.
The job numbers from Stats Canada released Friday pegged our jobless rate at 2.6% in September, dipping 0.6% from 3.2% in the same month in 2013.
The number of people working increased by 1600 year-over-year to 53,400 in September, and the Labour Force population also went up, sitting at 54,700 in the latest report.
Saskatchewan recorded the lowest unemployment rate among the provinces at 3.9%.
