Our Volunteers: The Winterfest Committee

The Winterfest Committee was formed by council in 2012, and charged with the responsibility of developing an annual event.  The Committee at the time was called the Event Planning Committee, and was given the responsibility of developing an annual event for Gull Lake.

The event itself was to be a unique event that not only would be of interest to our local residents, but also be an event that others from neighboring communities would come to see.  After much deliberation the Committee decided on an event that would be held in the winter and thus, “Winterfest” was born.  The original date was to be Family Day, but since it has been moved forward to the week after Family Day as not to compete with other neighboring communities events.

The Committee has been working hard over the last three years tweaking the events activities to draw people out.  This year the committee has made some big plans with activities that are sure to give the Event more attendees than ever.  The event will be held February 21, and for more details you can go to:

This committee still has room for 3 more members and can always use plenty of volunteers.  So if you would be interested in sitting on the board or helping with the Event just give the Town Office call (306)672-3361.

Committee Members are as follows:

Chairman: Nasser Zanidean

Board Members
Craig Baird
Layla Baird
Shelley Bryant
Blake Campbell
Sara Kuntz
Joanne Zanidean

The Town Council extends a big thanks to the Winterfest board members  (past & present)for planning the Event, and tho the volunteers (past and present) who help with activities on the big day.
