Now for the ninth consecutive year, SaskTel has been recognized by Mediacorp Canada Inc. as one of Saskatchewan’s Top Employers.

The annual competition is based on eight criteria ranging from physical workplace to community involvement, to recognize Saskatchewan employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work.

Director of External Communications, Michelle Englot, says these criteria offers a great distinction for SaskTel to be among the most progressive and employee friendly benefits programs.

“Just simply because of the benefits that SaskTel offers, it is a great company to work for. We have cutting edge technology, we provide ongoing training and development for our employees, and we offer a supportive and inclusive corporate culture,” explained Englot. “We do understand that employees are looking for certain things in this day and time, and we’re pleased to be able to provide employees with options that earn us the distinction of being one of the Top 100 Employers in the province and also one of the Top 100 Employers in Canada.”

Englot adds that continued success in a variety of areas allows for the Crown’s Corporation to maintain the ranking as one of the top companies in Canada.

“I think we just need to continue to focus on the criteria that are involved in terms of the selection committee. Some of the things they look at are the physical workplace, our work atmosphere and social aspects, health, financial and family, vacation and time off, employee communications, performance management, training and skills, and community involvement. All of those things are of upmost importance to SaskTel, and it’s the corporate culture that we have that continue to make those things important to our employees.”

SaskTel remains the only Saskatchewan company to be recognized every year since the beginning of the competition.
