Sask. economy forecast to grow 0.8% in 2015

Unlike Alberta, Saskatchewan will avoid having a recession this year, but only by the narrowest of margins, according to the latest provincial economic forecast by the Conference Board of Canada. “Despite the negative impacts of lower crude oil prices, the Saskatchewan economy is still expected to grow, albeit by just 0.8 per cent, in 2015,” the Ottawa-based economics forecasting agency said Monday.
