Saskatchewan’s economy is expected to grow by a modest 0.9 per cent in 2015, according to the Conference Board of Canada’s latest forecast. According to the report released Thursday, the drop in oil-related activities has contributed to the weaker real GDP growth.

The provincial agriculture ministry’s crop report for the week ending Thursday says about 87 per cent of the crop is now in the ground. That’s well ahead of the five-year (2010-2014) average for this time of year (61 per cent).
