Swift Current Ag & Ex kicks off Frontier Days in style
Swift Current Frontier Days is happening this week – June 25th – 28th. After the Kick-off WW Smith Cowboy Pancake Breakfast (7:30 – 9:30a.m. at the BMO courtyard and Market Square) that includes the Burning of the Frontier Days Brand at 8 a.m., then it is time to think about the Kiddies Day Parade at 4 p.m. and head on down to Kinetic Exhibition Park.
Kinetic Exhibition Park opens Thursday, June 25th, at 4 p.m. What will you find? Between the Grandstand concerts of Chilliwack, Tim Hicks, Link Union and Lonestar, and the CCA rodeo, and heavy horse, lighthorse, livestock and Doc’s Town and the all new Knights of Valour — Take in over 65 Commercial Exhibits in the Stockade building and 30 exhibits outside. Crafts, jewellery, communication devices, beauty products, leather goods, artworks, fudge, donuts, business information, stockgrowers display, lemonade, informational booths that share many household and workshop ideas… and more. The exhibit hours are Thursday 4- 10 p.m., Friday Noon – 10 p.m., Saturday Noon – 10 p.m., and Sunday Noon – 8 p.m..
What about the rides? West Coast Amusements is in Swift Current with an amazing assortment of rides and wide variety of games. Kiddlieland for the youngsters, and then rides for the young daredevils. How about this for variety – the Skymaster, Starship 2000, Tornado, tilt-a-whirl, zipper, Cliffhanger – just to name a few. Colorful and exciting fun that will flip, spin, scramble and dangle with excitement! The IRide pass is $34.00 available at Kinetic Exhibition Park Ag & Ex Office or Innovation Credit Union. West Coast Amusements hours are: Thursday, 4 – Midnight, Friday, noon – midnight, Saturday, noon-midnight and Sunday, noon – midnight.
