GULL LAKE PREPARES FOR TERRY FOX RUN
Since 1990 our school and community have been helping to fund cancer research by collecting and donating pledges for the Terry Fox Foundation. So far, Gull Lake School has sent in almost $120,000 to help find a cure for cancer. Terry Fox’s legacy truly lives on here. We have great community support for this cause and want to invite everyone out again this year.
“Even if I don’t finish, we need others to continue. It’s got to keep going without me.” (Terry Fox)
Join us on Friday, September 25 @ 11:10 am for our community’s annual Terry Fox Run. Participants may walk or run around town (please leave the wheels at home) beginning at the Gull Lake School. Pledge sheets are available at the school office. There is also online pledging available at www.terryfoxrun.org. All of our students participate in the walk/run. Refreshments will be provided by the Jr. and Sr. SRC’s following the run. Anyone with questions can contact the organizer, Anesia Boutin. Come out and help keep Terry’s dream alive!
