Harvest past the halfway mark, says Sask. Ag

Despite delays due to wet field conditions, the 2015 harvest is still ahead of the long-term average, with 52 per cent of the crop is in the bin and 30 per cent swathed or ready to straight-cut, according to Saskatchewan Agriculture’s weekly crop report. The five-year (2010-2014) average for mid-September is 42 per cent combined and 33 per cent swathed or ready to straight-cut. The 10-year average is 46 per cent, while this time last year only 23 per cent of the crop was combined.
