To help the public better understand how dedicated the agriculture industry is to the environment, the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture has made “Stewards in Sustainability” the theme of this year’s Agriculture Month, celebrated each October. During the month, producer groups and industry partners will share how they have worked to make sustainability a regular part of what they do. Farmers and ranchers have often been called the original environmentalists, as they care for our land and livestock. They want to ensure that they preserve the environment and the resources required to grow food for future generations.
