Activities to Start the New-year
If your New Year’s resolution is to incorporate more activity into your day, you’re in luck! There are tons of opportunities to get moving right here in town:
Winter Walking happens every weekday from 10am-11am at Gull Lake Community Hall. There is no charge and no need to register.
The Gull Lake and Area Recreation Board also offers an intermediate workout class every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 4pm. Classes are $5, and take place at the Gull Lake Community Hall. No need to register, just drop in!
The winter bowling league will start on January 11 and will run until April 22. This non-competitive league is extremely flexible, with the schedule cre-ated based on your availability. Cost is $50 for the season. If joining the league isn’t your cup of tea, Gull Lake Bowling Lanes is available for pri-vate rentals. Cost is $40/hr. Contact the Rec Office to register or for more info.
Public skating (no sticks on the ice during these times): Mondays, 3-4pm; Wednesdays, 3-4pm; and Fridays, 4-5pm.
Shinny: Tuesdays, 3-4:30pm; Wednesdays, 4-5:30pm; and Fridays, 3-4pm.
*Please note that helmets must be worn by all skaters under 18 years of age dur-ing public skating and shinny.
