The Gull Lake Ambulance Primary Care Paramedics (PCPs) will be learning some new skills over the next couple of months. The Ambulance Service has enrolled its PCPs in the, “PCP Upgrade Course” offered by Saskatchewan Polytechnic. The course is a combination of online learning, labs, and practical experience. Staff will be learning intravenous initiation, and safe administration of medications that will go with their new scope of training.
The Gull Lake Ambulance Board has allocated $10,000 to train staff and purchase medical supplies. These skills will go a long way to enhancing patient care and will greatly benefit the communities served by the Gull Lake Ambulance.
