The Gull Lake Tourism Committee will open the Museum this summer with regular hours thanks to a student employment grant they received this year. It will open for the season starting June 27th Weekdays from 1 PM to 6PM and Weekends 2PM to 4 PM.
The Gull Lake Museum has three buildings with exhibits the Main Building, School House and Machine Shop. The Main Building exhibits show what life was like in Gull Lake’s past. The Committee will be reorganizing the exhibits in the main building in order to improve visitors viewing experience. The School House is a replica of one of the old schools that students attended many years ago. The Machinery Building has many interesting types of agriculture equipment exhibits to see. This year an antique printing press that was donated by the Gull Lake Advance will also be on display.
The Committee plans to have “Monday Tea” at the museum, and a supper and music night is planned for Sunday July 10, 2016. Other events are also being planned this summer, and will be announced at a later date.
