The Gull Lake Seniors hosted a Canada Day Celebration this morning at the Gull Lake Seniors Hall. Thirty-Three people attended the event this morning and enjoyed a selection of delicious baked goods and a cup of coffee. At 10 AM everyone sang the national anthem, and afterwards, a special quilt was displayed at the event.

The handmade quilt made by Sandra Benallack took many hours to create and was certainly a highlight of the event. The quilt proudly displays Canada in the centre surrounded by pictures associated with the provinces and territories.

I certainly want to thank our Seniors for hosting the Canada Day Event in Gull Lake today.  There will also be a Canada 150 Event in Gull Lake on Saturday, August 19th, 2017.
