Gull Lake Quilters 2017 Report GULL LAKE Volunteers Community

The Gull Quilters have had very busy year making quilts and raising more than $1,500.00 for charities.  The group finished a total of eleven quilts from scratch. Additionally, the group tied quilts for thirteen people, quilted for seven others, made one baby quilt, and repaired one damaged quilt. It was also a very trying year for us with the loss of one of our quilters, rest in peace Fran.

Donations this year went to the following:

Three children were sent to summer camp.
Heart in Motion received $500.00
Rock Solid received $500.00 plus a quilt.
Tompkins Wildfire victims received $500.00.
A quilt was also donated to a house fire victim

The Quilting Club is looking for new members to join the group at the Seniors Hall. If you are interested in joining, please call Helen Hunt at (306) 672-3316. The Quilters would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone.
