TOWN OF GULL LAKE IMPLEMENTS AN OPEN FIRE BURN BAN

Council of the Town of Gull Lake has issued an open fire burn ban within the boundaries of the Town of Gull Lake.

Effective immediately, no fireworks or open fires, including fire pits, fire rings, chimineas, and the like are allowed until further notice. Barbeques operated by propane or natural gas are not included in this ban.

Every person who contravenes the provision of Bylaw No. 4-2017, a bylaw of the Town of Gull Lake to provide for fire and burning restrictions, is guilty of an offense and liable on summary conviction to a fine from $500 to $10,000. Additionally, costs for fire prevention, suppression or emergency response services shall be charged directly on the persons who receive the service. If the Fire Department is called to attend a fire as a result of burning during the ban, the fire response fees will be billed directly to the owner of the property. The bill for such WILL NOT be covered by the Town of Gull Lake.

THIS BAN WILL BE IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
