This week is Fire Prevention Week in Canada. The Town of Gull Lake encourages residents to take some time this week to develop a fire escape plan and practice the plan to ensure your safety. We would also like to extend sincere appreciation to our firefighters for all they do for our community.
The Fire Department has 16 dedicated volunteer firefighters that provide the Town and surrounding municipalities with fire services. Our firefighters have the experience, training, and equipment to take care of any emergency. Every time a firefighter responds to a call they put their lives on the line to save people and property. Our firefighters are volunteers, and we are grateful to them for the valuable service they provide, and we appreciate the significant contribution they make to our community. Firefighters, make a significant difference and their contributions to our community do not go unnoticed.
