We are all very concerned about the Covid19 Pandemic, and the impact that it is having on our community. I would encourage everyone to do their part by practicing social distancing and following the advice of our Province’s Healthcare Officials. Following this advice will help slow the rate of COVID-19 infection and protect vulnerable populations, including seniors and people with compromised immune systems.
Effective immediately, the Town Office will be closed to the public. Mayor and Council have taken this action to protect the health & well-being of our staff that provide essential services for our community. Normal business, with no change of regular hours, will be conducted via telephone, email or regular mail. Bill payments can be made online, by mail, or at your bank or credit union.
The Regular Council meeting scheduled for March 25, 2020 will be held at the Elks Hall to enable members of Council and staff to maintain social distancing requirements. Council meetings are open to the public; however, non-essential delegations are asked to respect social distancing policies. If you have an issue you wish to present to the council, consider submitting by mail or e-mail; the council will discuss and respond. If it is urgent, you speak to the council, please call the office and arrangements to attend the meeting via conference call can be made.
Community and Recreation facilities have been closed and will remain closed until further notice. A number of businesses and facilities have provided information on measures they have taken to protect the public. This information can be found on the link below and is updated regularly. If we have missed your facility or business, or you require a change of information, please email email@example.com.
Town Council will continue to monitor the situation and provide information and updates as they become available at https://gulllakesk.ca/covid-19-information-for-residents-and-business/.
