Council Waives Utility Interest Charges and Suspends Disconnections

At the last Council Meeting, the COVID-19 Pandemic and the significant financial impact it is having on our community was discussed. To provide some measure of relief Council is waiving utility interest charges and suspending disconnections until further notice.

Council also asks everyone to:

  • Practice social distancing diligently and follow the advice of our Province’s Healthcare Officials.
  • Please remind children to stay off playground equipment at the School, Little Green on the Prairie Park, and Campground. This recommendation is a precaution to help slow the spread of COVID-19 which can live on surfaces for days.
  • Support businesses that support our community and shop local.
  • If you know of a senior or vulnerable person needing assistance with grocery shopping or other needs contact the Seniors Taxi or Gull Lake Kinette Club.

Town Council will continue to monitor the situation and provide information and updates as they become available on the COVID-19 INFORMATION FOR RESIDENTS AND BUSINESS.
