Public notice is hereby given that the Council of the Town of Gull Lake intends to consider the adoption of two bylaws under The Planning and Development Act, 2007. Adoption of the bylaws will establish a new Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 1-2020 and Zoning Bylaw No. 2-2020.
Intent: The proposed Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 1-2020 will establish municipal goals, objectives and policies relating to land use and development. The proposed Zoning Bylaw No. 2-2020 will establish land use regulations, determine the location of zoning districts, prescribe permitted and discretionary uses within each zoning district, establish a process for issuing development permits, prescribe a process for appeals and provide for bylaw amendments.
Affected Land: The proposed bylaws will affect all land within the incorporated area of the Town of Gull Lake.
Reason: The Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 1-2020 will guide development decisions by identifying municipal goals and objectives. The Zoning Bylaw No. 2-2020 will help direct and manage growth and development within Town boundaries.
Public Inspection: Any person may inspect the proposed bylaws at the Town of Gull Lake office during normal office hours. Copies of the bylaws are available at cost and may also be viewed on the Town of Gull Lake website www.gulllakesk.ca
Public Hearing: Council will hold a public hearing on October 14, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. The public hearing will be held at the Elks Hall, 2390 Proton Avenue, Gull Lake, SK. Any person or group that wants to comment on the proposed bylaw is welcome to attend or to submit comments prior to the meeting. Council will consider all comments received.
