Gull Lake Recreation Advisory Committee Disc Golf Course
The Gull Lake Recreation Advisory Committee has been working for the past year to secure the funds to create a 9-hole disc golf course in town. The course is one step closer to becoming a reality, as the baskets have arrived! A big thanks to RBC and the CGTW Rec Board boosting this project by each sponsoring a hole.
With a bit more fundraising and the upcoming help of Disc Golf Saskatchewan, the RAC will finalize the course design and get the baskets in the ground, and finish the course off with tee boxes and signage at each hole. Additionally, the committee will purchase a few sets of discs for users to sign out at no cost. The goal is to complete the course before summer 2021.
The RAC’s focus has been on creating and improving facilities such as the pickleball courts and Kiaskus Trail that are accessible to all—unlimited hours of operation to fit all schedules, and no user fees to fit all budgets—and is excited to add a disc golf course to this list of facilities. Disc golf is a great game for all ages and abilities and provides a fun way to get outside and get active all year round!
