Canada exported 3.2 million barrels of crude per day to the United States last year, the Energy Information Agency reported, a 10 percent annual increase and an all-time record high. In addition, Canadian oil exports increased as a portion of overall exports, to account for 43 percent of the 7.4 million bpd that the country imported in 2015. On the other hand, Canada took in the bulk of U.S. oil exports, some 92 percent of them, or 422,000 bpd.
