Campground Getting Ready for the 2018 Season

Campground Getting Ready for the 2018 Season GULL LAKE Tourism Tourism Committee Gull Lake Campground

The Gull Lake Tourism Committee is gearing up for the 2018 camping season. Last year, the committee installed wifi at the Gull Lake Campground, and more upgrades are planned for this season. For kids, new playground equipment will replace the aging swing set. Security cameras will be installed to monitor the entrances, sheds, and main building. A shed was vandalized last year, and the cameras will act as a deterrent to vandalism.

The Tourism Committee would also like to remind anyone with a Christmas Cove display in the campground to remove it before April 15, 2018. The Campground will be opening sometime before the May long weekend once it is warm enough to turn the water on.

The committee is also looking for a campground attendant for the 2018 season. Duties for the attendant will include monitoring campground, collecting fees, cleaning/ maintenance/repair of campground, facilities & equipment as needed.

Salary is 40% of campsites fees & typically averages $15,000 to $25,000 per season (May long weekend to September 30)

CHRISTMAS COVE 2017 LIGHTS UP TONIGHT AT THE CAMPGROUND Business GULL LAKE SouthWest Saskatchewan Town Beautification Tourism Committee Gull Lake Campground Christmas Cove

Christmas Cove 2017 displays will light up tonight at the Gull Lake Campground. The festive displays will be lit every night from 5pm to 10pm until January 1, 2018. The campground currently has 11 sites decorated and is expected to have 19 sites filled this year.

Christmas Cove is made possible by the Gull Lake Tourism Committee as they open the campground each year for the event. Businesses, organizations, and individuals decorate the campsites with festive holiday displays for all to enjoy. We still have spots available for anyone wanting to set up a display. You can reserve a spot for your display by calling Peggy Willman at call 306.672-4099 (or text 306.672.7402) or email gull.lake.sk@gmail.com..

So if you are out and about or traveling through Gull Lake stop in at the campground and tour the festive Christmas displays.
