Tim Temoshawsky (Alderman)

Age: 40 years old.

Number of years in Gull Lake: 11 years.

Marital Status: Married

Tell us about your Family:
Married to my wife, Kim, for 16 years.  My wife teaches Science at the school and my two daughters, Jasmine (Grade 8) and Kalyna (Grade 4) also attend Gull Lake School.  I also have two sons, Dustin, who lives in Dundurn, and Felix, who works for the Town of Gull Lake.  I also recently had the joy of becoming a grandpa this past year to my granddaughter, Rylee and grandson, Kyrhen.

What is your occupation:
I am the assistant Manager at Crop Production Services in Swift Current.  Prior to this I spent 7 years working for the Town of Gull Lake as the water plant operator.   Through my current and past employers, I have taken numerous courses related to agriculture and water treatment certification.

Educational background:
Through my current and past employers, I have taken numerous courses related to agriculture and water treatment certification.

Community Involvement (Boards, Clubs, Organizations etc):
I enjoy coaching my daughter’s soccer team in Swift Current during both the indoor and outdoor soccer season.  I have volunteered at the Lyceum Theatre and played in the Adult Rec Volleyball league.  I am an avid sports fan.  During the winter, my family spends a lot of time at the rink with figure skating and watching the Greyhounds and lots of time at the pool in the summer.  I am supporter of the school’s efforts to build a new track / football field and enjoy taking in the Lions football games.  When I worked for the Town I was a member of the Cemetery committee.

What has (or continues) to motivate you to step forward and run for Town Council?
I am running for Town Council because I want to keep the community growing and striving economically into the future.  I believe in supporting our local businesses whether it is going to a movie, fixing a vehicle, getting a hair cut, or buying groceries.  The town has many volunteers that work hard to promote it through events such as Winterfest and the Christmas Cove and I would love to be a part of it!
